About Lord Kelvin
Lord Kelvin is a diverse K-7 school located in the heart of New Westminster. Our school offers its students an outstanding educational experience. Our classroom teachers, Resource specialists, support staff, administrators, custodians, parents and the community support staff ensure that students and their families' needs are met.
Our present school enrolment is 408 students in 19 divisions. We have a diverse population which comprises of half of our school consisting of students from countries other than Canada. The diversity allows for students and staff to gain respect for other cultures and people.
Lord Kelvin's Mission is to provide a safe, nurturing and respectful learning environment that will empower our students to become confident and responsible life-long learners. We welcome the involvement of families and community as essential partners in supporting our children on their journey. In addition, our school Code of Conduct expects everyone will conduct themselves in a manner which is Safe, Kind, Respectful and Responsible in order to promote and maintain our school culture.
Please Note - Attendance is taken in the classroom every morning and afternoon. The Office checks all unaccounted absences. Please phone the school before 9:00 a.m. to report a student absence at 604-517-6060.
