Pearson Adult Learning Centre: Class of 2011

On Wednesday, June 22nd, Pearson Adult Learning Centre graduates celebrated their successes together.  This year 31 students fulfilled the requirements for the Dogwood Diploma.  During the 2010-2011 school year, 650 students attended classes or worked self paced at the learning centre.

Students at the learning centre range in age from 19 years through 83 years young!  Adult students work on the skills and courses required to attain their grade 12 graduation.  Many move on to further post secondary education or more rewarding employment.  Often PALC students have one or more children attending public schools in New Westminster.

Staff at the centre along with our Principal, Philip Cookson and Assistant Superintendent of Schools, Al Balanuik, attended the celebration.  CONGRATULATIONS to the PALC Class of 2011!
