Family Spirits, a film about three generations of a Quebec family setting off to trace their origins back to the arrival of their ancestors in New Brunswick.  Zakari the child, Lysanne, his mother and Grand-Pierre the long lost cousin and genealogy expert find themselves on the road to the Maritimes.  During the trip, each makes the acquaintance of their distant cousins.  As if by magic, the Family Spirits appear to Zakari and show him the heritage of the first French speakers to land in the New World.  Poetic yet playful, the film suggests an answer to the question of identity facing contemporary francophone society.

This is a film for all ages!  Original French version with English subtitles.
