ACE-IT Cooking Program

NWSS students in the Professional Cook Level 1 ACE-IT (Accelerated Credit Enrollment in Trades) Program were visited this week by Master  Butcher Karsten Schelhas.  Karsten taught the students how to butcher half a pig from start to finish.  This was a great opportunity for the students to learn some skills and to also meet someone in the trade.   Karsten is a 4th generation butcher who has his own company, "Maluma", and also works in a Vancouver butcher shop.  Please visit the Professional Cook Program Webpage.  For more information, please e-mail Karen Crosby or telephone at 604-517-6245
