Urban First Nations Learning Support Centre
School District No. 40 (New Westminster) offers the URBAN FIRST NATIONS LEARNING SUPPORT CENTRE which is a part of Columbia Square Adult Learning Centre and is supported by the Community Education Services of the New Westminster School District.
The centre provides a supportive, culturally rich environment where aboriginal people can connect with academic programs and support services. Our goal is to develop a supportive, culturally rich community so that our aboriginal students can succeed in their academic studies. Programs and Services:
- Grade 12 Diploma (Adult Dogwood)
- Upgrading for all level and abilities
- Counseling supports through UBC Counselling Services
- Up-to-date tutoring and instruction
- Access to self paced, online, and classroom-based courses
- A safe and supportive environment for aboriginal students
