About Queensborough Middle School

Queensborough Middle School is a community school that is centrally located in Queensborough, New Westminster. The doors opened in September 2003 and the school now houses 258 children in grades 5 to 8 and approximately 30 staff members.  Students in grade 8 transfer to New Westminster Secondary School for grade 9. The ground on which the school is built was once a large blueberry field.

The Queensborough Community Centre and Queen Elizabeth Elementary School (our feeder school) are a stones throw away from Queensborough Middle School (QMS).  Both schools and the community centre work together to prepare the children to be contributing members of the global community through the development of life-long skills.  Our local community is important to us and we are working together to share resources and develop appreciation of our heritage and history.

Our Mission Statement:  At QMS we are dedicated to working together with a safe, caring, respectful learning environment to enable all students to reach their full potential as life-long learners and contributing global citizens.
