About Queensborough Middle School
Queensborough Middle School is a community school that is centrally located in Queensborough, New Westminster. The doors opened in September 2003 and the school now houses 238 children in grades 5 to 8 and approximately 30 staff members. Students in grade 8 transfer to New Westminster Secondary School for grade 9. The school is, currently, the newest school in School District No. 40 (New Westminster). The ground on which the school is built was once a large blueberry field.
The Queensborough Community Centre and Queen Elizabeth Elementary School (our feeder school) are a stones throw away from Queensborough Middle School (QMS). Both schools and the community centre work together to prepare the children to be contributing members of the global community through the development of life-long skills. Our local community is important to us and we are working together to share resources and develop appreciation of our heritage and history.
Our school is located at 833 Salter Street, New Westminster, B.C. V3M 6G8; school Principal is Ms. Debbie Jones. You can contact the school through Mrs. Trish Symons, our school Secretary, at 604-517-6040 or Fax: 604-517-6041. If you are interested in learning more about Queensborough Middle School, please spend some time browsing our website or by calling our school office.
Reminder to parents: Please call 604-517-6040 if your child will be absent or late.
